WHY DO SOME PEOPLE FIND IT SO DIFFICULT TO SAY THE WORDS: "I'M SORRY"?
Like, seriously, it baffles me. In fact, it amazes me. Maybe because I do not see admitting my fault as a big deal. I like to admit when I am wrong and apologize when need be. That is why it amazes me when people will rather lose years of meaningful relationship and friendship than say the simple words 'I am sorry'.
It is worthy of note though, that admitting your wrong and saying you are sorry to the offended party doesn't stop there. It goes beyond just saying it, you have to actually mean it when you say it. Some people say they are sorry just because they want that episode to pass. Then, they go and commit the same blunder again or even worse the next time. That is not good at all. I use the phrase 'not good' for lack of a stronger one.
See, saying sorry for your wrong doing (when you are sincere) does not reduce your person, worth or importance in any way. As far as I'm concerned, I think it increases your worth. It shows you have admitted your wrong and you desire to make amends.
For me, that is commendable and deserves some accolades.
Really, if you are the first to say sorry when you and the other party feel offended at the same time, it shows you are the bigger person. Gba bee!
So, has someone told you how your words or action hurt them recently? Or did they just through their actions make it known that they are offended? Approach them and say these simple words: 'I'm sorry' AND MEAN IT.
Those simple words have mended broken hearts, healed a lot of wounds and repaired bridges that are down.
That phrase wields a lot of power. It may even be the beginning of self-forgiveness. Sometimes saying 'I'M SORRY ' TO YOUR SELF OR OTHERS CAN BE THE BEGINNING OF FORGIVING YOURSELF FOR A GRAVE MISTAKE in order to have a better and peace filled life.
Say 'sorry' today when need be, remember, it is a magic word!

Apologizing can make some people feel vulnerable, or feel like they are in danger of losing their power and status.
