 That you are rich is not enough reason to spoil your children's life and future with the money. There is nothing wrong with pampering your child from time to time, but don't turn it into a norm. It will have negative effect on them in the long run.  Help them to know that MONEY IS WORKED FOR AND SHOULDN'T BE SQUANDERED.   Don't allow what you are passing through affect your character negatively. So many people become resentful because of their challenges. They have allowed what they are passing through alter their personality. Some become more harsh, easily angered or vexed. Some people's character is changed into being ill tempered or rude. This is not commendable at all.  You have to make a conscious effort to be sure that your attitude is not altered no matter what. That is where self control comes in. Be in control of your emotions no matter the situation; don't transfer aggression to innocent people around you. When you transfer aggression, those who are not the architect of your worries begin to bear the brunt.  The most painful part is when parents begin to transfer aggression to their children as if the children created the problems in which they find themselves.  A once loving parent turns into wicked and inconsiderate thereby becoming unapproachable to the child.  GIVING BIRTH TO, OR NURTURING CHILDREN IN DIASPORA (OUTSIDE YOUR COUNTRY) IS NOT AN EXCUSE NOT TO TEACH THEM YOUR LANGUAGE OR CULTURE! Even if they are Britons, Americans, Canadians by birth, it does not change the fact that they are still citizens of your mother/father land by blood. I respect this particular 'T' family (name withheld) and I will like to use them as a case study.  This family in question is a Yoruba family and they gave birth to and trained their children abroad. Nevertheless, I was impressed to see that the children could speak the Yoruba language and they know the Yoruba culture despite been born and brought up abroad. When I saw them here in Nigeria, they kneel or prostrate to greet their elders according to the Yoruba tradition.  I believe a whole lot of parents in diaspora should take a cue from them! LEARN FROM THE 'T' FAMILY!  Many people are being sold off in their own father/mother land because they were not taught the culture or language....

Pedophilia means sexual feelings directed towards children or simply put, pedophilia is when an adult or adolescent is sexually attracted to children. It is a Psychiatric disorder and there is nothing normal about it. This anomaly is becoming too rampant. Almost every day in the news, we hear of pedophiles defiling children. This has to stop! It is disgusting and annoying. Why should an adult be sexually attracted to a child? A child? This is proof enough that a pedophile is not well mentally and needs to seek professional help. This help can be sought through a counsellor, a psychotherapist and or a psychologist. A counsellor is the one who helps you address your problems in a  positive way by helping you to clarify the issues, explore options, develop strategies and increase self awareness. Your son is a bully, he prefers to beat his sisters and other girls and you don't correct him. You don't teach him to be gentle with girls? Then, he may be a wife beater someday. He will definitely treat women badly, and it will be too late to correct him then. There are things that look little that if you don't correct now, will lead to disastrously big things in future. Several times I have seen mothers dress up their little ones (children) in rather mature outfit and it's usually cute.  But as the saying goes "too much of everything is bad".   Children have clothing that are meant for children, most of these clothes are colourful and has a lot of decorations and drawings. Sometimes, their favorite cartoon characters are even drawn on these clothes.   Naturally, an average child loves colorful things. Now, taking away colours from your child's childhood may not be a good idea. WHY? It is part of their learning and growing process.   Secondly, some parents even turn their older children to mothers and fathers by making them SOLELY take care of their younger one(s).
