HOW EMPATHIC ARE YOU?

Empathy means identification with or understanding of the thoughts, feelings, or emotional state of another person.


Children are usually more Empathic than adults. They easily identify with other people's feelings. That is why they hate violence in all its forms. 

Have you noticed that when you cry, they cry? That is how Empathic they can be. 

If adults can have this virtue, the world would be a better place. In Matthew 18:3, the Bible says:
"Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven".
If only we can become like little children; not in their immaturity, but their innocence, their loyalty, their Empathy... the list of their enviable virtue is endless.

Have you also noticed that they don't bear grudges? Wow. As long as their mind has not been 'polluted'; we can learn a whole lot of lessons from them. Look at a child around you today and learn a beautiful virtue from him/her.
The picture here is interesting, funny even, but touching also.
This shows the heart of a child. Let's take a cue from children sometimes and make the world a better place!

Like, seriously, it baffles me. In fact, it amazes me. Maybe because I do not see admitting my fault as a big deal. I like to admit when I am wrong and apologize when need be. That is why it amazes me when people will rather lose years of meaningful relationship and friendship than say the simple words 'I am sorry'.  It is worthy of note though, that admitting your wrong and saying you are sorry to the offended party doesn't stop there. It goes beyond just saying it, you have to actually mean it when you say it. Some people say they are sorry just because they want that episode to pass. Then, they go and commit the same blunder again or even worse the next time. That is not good at all. I use the phrase 'not good' for lack of a stronger one.  See, saying sorry for your wrong doing (when you are sincere) does not reduce your person, worth or importance in any way. WHO ARE YOU RAISING?

Some time ago, I saw the video of a little girl of about 16 months old who took hold of a wallet full of money. She brought out 2 notes from it, tuck them in front of her dress (breast area) and closed the wallet back. She then stylishly put it back where she took it from.  I was shocked!  It is easy to deduce from that video that the child must have seen an adult do such at one time or the other. So, she is copying that adult (most likely a female who can steal and hide money in her bra). Who can she be mimicking? Giving the most probable assumption... Maybe her mother, how she secretly takes the father's money and tuck into her bra. She sees it done in her presence, and she does likewise.  Even if it isn't the mum she copied. The fact is that she saw something bad and she did likewise.
