It is one of the most sought-after interpersonal skill in the work place.
Note: A popularly cited survey from 2011 showed that 71% of employers valued emotional intelligence in an employee over IQ. In fact, 59% of employers would not hire someone if they had a high IQ but low EI.

It's what helps you successfully coach teams, manage stress, deliver feedback, and collaborate with others. As stated before, it is one of the most sought-after interpersonal skill in the work place.

When you know how you feel, you can't be manipulated by others' emotions.
Also, you are able to easily understand family members and reduce conflict to a minimum, which makes for good family relations.

Couples with thriving, strong relationship have well-developed emotional intelligence.
A person's ability to talk about emotions in a healthy and loving way are both components of emotional intelligence.
