DENIAL DOESN'T CHANGE THE TRUTH
I
n life, there are people I like to refer to as 'exceptional beings'.
It's not only a particular gender that can be exceptional though. There are exceptional men, and women.
God, the Creator of all human is not, and will never be gender bias. So, He did not just input exceptionality in a gender and leave the other gender unadorned. He is not a respecter of persons.
It is noteworthy though, that, the level of exceptionality in various people differs; their gender notwithstanding.
Why then, is it that most men find it difficult to come to terms with it when a woman is more intelligent than they are?
Though, some men happily admire and value women who are more intellectually endowed...at least, I have met some of them. But there are men who see it as an insult ๐
"How can you even think it, let alone say it out loud that a woman is more intelligent than me?", they say.
It is safe to say: the exceptionality of some women is a truth most men shy away from.
Some are in total denial, some know but will never admit it. While some, instead of admitting, they say, 'she acts as if she knows it all', 'she believes that she is above mistake'.
Such men have refused to come to terms with it that some women are so self-trained that they have attained the level of excellence. On this level, it's not that they don't make mistakes, but it is very minimal, therefore hardly noticeable.
This kind of women, interestingly didn't get to that level in a day, it takes years to become.
Years of self-training, years of making mistakes, years of getting it wrong before getting it right. Then, they stay on the pedestal that they have so attained.
The beautiful thing about such women is that from every mistake, they pick at least one lesson to learn.
So the more the mistakes made, the more lessons learnt. After each mistake, they are wiser, better, more determined to succeed.
Also, they choose their battles wisely. It's not all battles they fight. This helps them to focus on what is necessary, shun what is not, thereby reducing errors.
They make sure mistakes don't repeat themselves and they look out for others, so others don't make the mistakes they have made.
They make progress, they grow, they don't give up.
Even though they feel bitter after every mistake of falling, they don't stay down or beat themselves down.
They pick themselves up and keep getting better until they attain 'level of excellence'.
So the excellence you see in them is not an act, it's not pretence, it is not charade, it is who they have become. It is who they have built themselves to be. And it took years of falling and rising to get there.
The least you can do, is to respect that, instead of building a limitation in your head for them and then, try to box them into it.
It is amusing how some men just choose to believe that women are not what they are j;ust to make themselves feel better.
Being in denial has never given anyone the power to change what is true.
If there is truth, face it, live with it. It won't reduce your worth in any way.
