TOPIC: THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE MARRIAGE.

Image
Sub-topic: When you marry a baby...  Marrying a baby in this sense doesn't mean a baby in the real sense of the word. Who then is a baby? A man who nags is a baby.  A man who shifts blame on other people instead of himself is a baby.  A man who refuses to take responsibility for his action is a baby.  A man who you have to remind before he provide the necessities is a baby. A man who doesn't perform his responsibilities as a leader is a baby. A man you who likes to argue over a trivial issue is a baby. A man who picks quarrel at every given opportunity is a baby.  A man who always runs back to his parents house instead of settling quarrels is a baby. A man who doesn't care about the comfort of others but himself is a baby.  A man who has to seek his mother's opinion ALL THE TIME before he does anything is a baby. A man who is perpetually accusing other people for his failure is a baby. With all the criteria of a 'baby'-man above, all you have to do i...

CONQUER YOUR FEAR OR YOUR FEAR WILL CONQUER YOU

Image
I don’t agree with some dictionary definitions of fear, but as an analytic writer; I will use what I need from the definitions and discard what I don’t. What is fear? It is a strong, unpleasant emotion caused by actual or perceived danger or threat. It can also be referred to as a phobia induced by something or someone. The Bible says fear has torment. THE POWER FEAR HAS CAN KEEP ONE CRIPPLED OR STAGNATED IF ONE ALLOWS IT TO HAVE A FILLED-DAY. Fear is a force that can drive an individual to an early grave. It is a spirit, when it is present in its victim it renders them useless: it renders them unproductive and unfruitful. This is because a person infected with the spirit of fear will not welcome change, he/she will be afraid to take risks and will be comfortable with whatever position they find themselves. Fear will not enable you take necessary step towards the right direction. The funny but critical aspect of fear is that THE FEAR OF SOMETHING KILLS FASTER THAN THE THING ITSEL...

THE AMENDED CURRENCY

Image
Some time back, I was able to put together a torn currency that was torn into five pieces, I mean five (5) different segments, but it was put back together to become whole again . It was so bad that it had two tiny pieces, but it was brought together to form one. The pieces were not even on the same spot, it was picked at different locations. The first time it was joined, a part was missing, but was search out, found and taped to the others. What situation is your life in right now that you think is beyond repair? I will like to assure you that IT IS NOT. Just like that currency was made whole again after being torn apart; torn to pieces, the pieces of your life can be brought back together as well. Even when it seems like there is no hope, CHOOSE TO BELIEVE. It is recorded in Job 14:7 that "there is hope for a tree if it be cut down, that it will sprout again and the tender branch thereof will not cease." A tree that has been cut down can still spring up and bud. It can gro...

PARENT/CHILD RELATIONSHIP (Episode 2)

Image
PLEASE DON'T NEGLECT THE BOY CHILD! Start by TEACHING HIM TO LOVE HIMSELF. You can achieve this by helping him to know the kind of person he is, i.e. his temperament. He has to know what differentiates him from others. Most importantly, help him to know what his strengths are and what his weaknesses are, then encourage him to focus on his strengths and develop them. . . Tell him the importance of taking care of himself. Let him know that he is in the best position to take care of himself than any other person. TEACH HIM SELF-RESPECT. Let him realize that respect is EARNED not gotten by force. . . You can also help him by TEACHING him to BE RESPECTFUL, he shouldn't overlook people or disregard them. Teach him not to beat his female-younger/older SIBLINGS or his female playmates. When you don't teach him, he will see nothing wrong in beating women and may end up being a wife beater. . . Give him avenues to take care of you and others in the home; more like a PROTECTOR or a DE...

I LEARNT FROM THIS, YOU COULD TOO

Image
The Following Conversation Took Place Between I and one of My daughters DAUGHTER: Mummy, you like singing MUMMY: Ehn ehn? DAUGHTER: Yes, anything we say, you turn it into a song. MUMMY: (Laughing) I don't even realize I do this. DAUGHTER: You do it a lot mummy, you like singing. Here are the lessons I learned from the above conversation: 1. It is possible to have a habit you are not aware of. Not necessarily singing like mine; it may be dancing on impulse, it may be shouting, or even anger. 2. On the journey of self-discovery, you need other people's observations as well. You don't know it all, neither do you see it all. 3. LISTEN! When someone is trying to tell you about yourself (your habit or behaviour), LISTEN! This may be instrumental in your journey to the next level. 4. Children are very observant; (most times more than adults are) so be careful what you do when they are around. 5. Unlike in my own case in this scenario, you may have a bad hab...

PARENT/CHILD RELATIONSHIP (Episode 1)

Image
AFTER MUCH DELIBERATION AND DISCUSSION WITH OTHER GREAT MINDS. I have come to these conclusions:                                                    So much EMPHASIS has been placed ON the training of the GIRL child that over the years the BOY CHILD has been NEGLECTED. We groom our girls: we teach them to be well mannered, to clean, cook, wash and so on. We train them to be good and respectable women. Nevertheless, the boys are thought little or no values. Mother A grooms her girl to become a good wife 'material', she has a son but doesn't train him. Why? He is a boy. He doesn't need much attention. Eventually, that son ends up not being a good husband 'material'. Mother B and C are doing the same thing mother A has done as well. The d...
