PARENT/CHILD RELATIONSHIP (Episode 2)

PLEASE DON'T NEGLECT THE BOY CHILD!


Start by TEACHING HIM TO LOVE HIMSELF. You can achieve this by helping him to know the kind of person he is, i.e. his temperament. He has to know what differentiates him from others.
Most importantly, help him to know what his strengths are and what his weaknesses are, then encourage him to focus on his strengths and develop them.

Tell him the importance of taking care of himself. Let him know that he is in the best position to take care of himself than any other person. TEACH HIM SELF-RESPECT. Let him realize that respect is EARNED not gotten by force.

You can also help him by TEACHING him to BE RESPECTFUL, he shouldn't overlook people or disregard them.
Teach him not to beat his female-younger/older SIBLINGS or his female playmates. When you don't teach him, he will see nothing wrong in beating women and may end up being a wife beater.

Give him avenues to take care of you and others in the home; more like a PROTECTOR or a DEFENDER. Start this from the very early stage.

TEACH HIM FINANCIAL LITERACY or employ the service of someone who can (I CAN HELP YOU TEACH HIM for a token). He needs to be financially responsible and accountable. Remember, YOU ARE TRAINING a FUTURE-HEAD-OF-THE-FAMILY .

Please DON'T SEND HIM TO BUY ALCOHOLS or CIGARETTE for you or anyone else. Do only the good things you want him to emulate around him. Children can be very observant.

Teach him the IMPORTANCE OF PICKING HIS FRIENDS wisely. Let him know the dangers of peer pressure.
WHY? TOO MANY HUSBANDS ARE IRRESPONSIBLE MEN! THEY ASSAULT THEIR WIVES PHYSICALLY AND/OR VERBALLY. THEY DISRESPECT THEIR WIVES, THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBILE TOWARDS THEIR CHILDREN: SIMPLY BECAUSE THE FOUNDATION IS FAULTY!
We need BETTER MEN, we need BETTER HUSBANDS, we need BETTER FATHERS in the society. We owe it to the society to produce such. So Help Us God.

  ********************* There is a fact we need to always take cognisance of: WORDS are POWERFUL! WORDS CAN EITHER MAKE OR BREAK A PERSON OR A RELATIONSHIP. Words can move a person to tears or propel laughter. Someone once said, “Words are sometimes more destructive than nuclear bomb”. Well, it's true, so you need to be careful how you speak to people or address a person. Some hurtful words can make the recipient feel so bad, feel mentally battered or even begin to have suicidal thoughts. A thought that just came to my mind concerning the effect of words is this: Comedians make people laugh, what do they use? WORDS! The suicide bombers are manipulated to carry out their dastardly act through what? WORDS! They are usually not forced to become suicide bombers, all their manipulators use are WORDS. YOU SEE THE POWER OF WORDS? God made the world through words. That means IF THE RIGHT WORDS CAN CREATE, THE WRONG WORDS CAN ALSO DESTROY WHAT HAS BEEN CREATED. Be mindful of what you say.

CELEBRATING IMPACT:- MR EMMANUEL

Mr. Emmanuel was one of my favourite teachers in secondary school. He was our Christian Religious Studies (CRS) teacher. HE WAS A VERY GOOD TEACHER. That subject he taught; CRS is a subject that most students usually find boring and uninteresting . But I can assure you that CRS is not boring, only the teacher teaching it can make it appear to be so. THE WAY AND MANNER A TEACHER TEACHES A SUBJECT CAN DETERMINE WHETHER STUDENTS WILL LIKE IT OR NOT. Also, have you noticed that if a student dislikes a teacher, it affects the student's attention span on that subject and by extension affects their performance in that subject? That takes me back to Mr. Emmanuel. There was never a dull moment in this man's classes despite the fact that he teaches one of the subjects students term 'boring'. Muslims or Islamic students who saw how he explained the topics in Christian Religious Studies and gesticulates always snuck into his classes so as not to be left out of the fun that is usua

THE OPPORTUNITIES YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN

In life, there are times when opportunities are either given to us or handed down to us. Opportunities given are the ones you get NOT because you are related or affiliated to the the giver. Opportunities handed down are the ones you get BECAUSE OF YOUR RELATIONSHIP or affiliation to the giver. Some have been given opportunities that has turned them into billionaires. Maybe all they needed was capital to bring their ideas into reality. They get the money and boom! They become rich. This happened because they did not waste the opportunity they were given. They used it well, and become successful as a result. Many people have gotten some huge opportunities that they've wasted.
