I LEARNT FROM THIS, YOU COULD TOO

The Following Conversation Took Place Between I and one of My daughters

DAUGHTER: Mummy, you like singing

MUMMY: Ehn ehn?

DAUGHTER: Yes, anything we say, you turn it into a song.

MUMMY: (Laughing) I don't even realize I do this.

DAUGHTER: You do it a lot mummy, you like singing.

Here are the lessons I learned from the above conversation:

1. πŸ‘‰It is possible to have a habit you are not aware of.

Not necessarily singing like mine; it may be dancing on impulse, it may be shouting, or even anger.

2. πŸ‘‰On the journey of self-discovery, you need other people's observations as well. You don't know it all, neither do you see it all.

3. πŸ‘‰LISTEN! When someone is trying to tell you about yourself (your habit or behaviour), LISTEN! This may be instrumental in your journey to the next level.

4. πŸ‘‰Children are very observant; (most times more than adults are) so be careful what you do when they are around.

5. πŸ‘‰Unlike in my own case in this scenario, you may have a bad habit that you've not noticed, if you are a good listener or you are accommodating, those who observe will tell you about it so that you can make the necessary changes. By extension, you become a BETTER PERSON.

6. πŸ‘‰Life gives you an opportunity to learn something new daily. All you need is to be perceptive and discerning enough to learn the lesson(s) life is teaching you.

7. πŸ‘‰YOU CAN LEARN FROM ANYONE AND ANYTHING. My take? Be humble enough to do so.

What's your opinion?
